In 2018, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will continue to work with the National Development and Reform Commission and the relevant member units of the Inter-Ministerial Joint Conference on Overcapacity and Difficulty Development in the Iron and Steel Industry. Do a good job in the following aspects: First, earnestly implement the "Opinions of the State Council on Resolving Excessive Capacity in the Iron and Steel Industry and Realizing Difficulty Development" (Guo Fa [2016] No. 6), and effectively promote the work of reducing steel capacity; second, establish a sound market The long-term mechanism of “local steel” is banned from reformation and legalization, and “local steel” is strictly prevented from resurgence; the third is to urge all localities to do a good job in capacity replacement work and strictly prohibit new steel production capacity.
