Silica stone and silica fume are mainly used as furnace burden for intermediate frequency furnace and tundish, and are also main raw materials for silica dry vibrating material for tundish. High-quality raw materials are the prerequisite for quality assurance.

Silica stone is mainly divided into five sizes of sand (0 - 25mm), from No.1 to No.5. And silica fume is silica ground into powder by a ball mill, and its granularity can be different according to the requirements of products.

The refractoriness of silica is generally>1750℃, SiO₂content is>99% and volume density is>2.5g/cm³.
